The Indu's Corporation

Right now I am having a training session with a Mr. Mukesh Khetrapal. Just think about a fairer and taller Amrish Puri with a very smooth and shinning skull. I can see beads of sweat on the top of his head. Being a trainer he definitely is going to save a lot of money for the companies that hire him. For one he doesn't require a mike and he is definitely going to save a lot of coffee for the company. By the way the guys have gone out for a coffee break. As I told you he is still going to save a lot of coffee for the company because it is impossible to sleep with the sound that he makes.

This fellow has been the senior VP with shaw wallace. that is the second most important person after manu chabbaria. This fellow now has turned into a entrepreneur and now heads a training outfit called the INDUS corporation. He is also associated with TiE(The Indus Entrepreneurs). Now knowing what the indus valley is I asked what seemed to be an obvious question "Sir why did you name your corporation The Indus Corporation?". He told me something so unexpected that I want to share it with you. The company was called differently when he started the whole thing. It so happens that his wife is called Indu so he called his company "The Indu's Corporation".

Then he just showed some us figures which had many figures hidden in it. He then spoke about perceptions and I guess the things he said was interesting. He went on with many other exercises with some very interesting insights.

First he played a game of pictionary and then we had chinese whispers and thats it till now.
So that's it from me for the day. For tommorow is a hectic day for me. got 2 papers and the centers are situated in far off places.

Some guys learn from their mistakes and I almost did not for again I had almost copied the whole thing on paper to repeat the process of heights all over again. But thankfully for me the guys doing their training out here are smart enough. Public email sites are blocked accessible from our intranet. but the smart asses have found out proxies to bypass the server settings so i avoided the trouble of copying and sent the mail to myself

The Incredible Padma Aunty!!

The day before yesterday I spend more than 2 hours, totally mesmerized by the memorial service of Padma Vikraman Nayar , organized by the Singapore Malayali Association (SMA) . I have met her only once, a few years ago, but the eulogies removed any sense of unfamiliarity about her. Padma Aunty as she was popularly called was more of a background person and the extent of eulogies was disproportionate to any of the formal positions, she held within the SMA committee. And most surprisingly, all but one of the speakers on stage were males, mostly past SMA Presidents, a reflection of the authority she commanded during her life. At a personal level, I really struggle with the Malayalam Language and often felt that I was more of a Delhite than a Malayali. Senti side of me

Hi Guys, In the last few months I had a chat with some of you guys. And all of a sudden I realised that I dont have anything to talk about. Rahul and Shilpi called up most in this period and often I just did not know what to say and the forced conversation lasted for not more than a few minutes. Then the mails from regulars like Rahul(Both), Anit and Rohit have actually dried up. It used to be such a pleasure getting a mail from these guys. But somehow today all I see in my inbox is a few fwds and mailers which I very happily block. Now let me admit that Bhanu, Anit and Shuchi have been nice enough to send some thought provoking fwds. But I would be more pleased to get hold of a mail addressed to me. So i thought of asking some of you about how it felt getting my mails.
