Nightout in Mumbai Central

Hi Guys, May 14, The best part of my MBA was perhaps the convocation. Compared to my previous academic engagements this was a very elaborate affair. Apart from wearing the graduation robe and getting the degrees the experience was memorable for the speech given by Anand Mahindra. But before that we actually spent the whole of the morning rehearsing for the event. And the staff members of the IIMs definitely deserve kudos for the way the entire thing was conducted. Then to add icing to the cake was having Mr. Anand Mahindra as our chief guest. Normally when you have a good speaker you admire him and say wow. But at the end of the speech you usually wont be able to speak for more than a minute about what the person actually said. Its on this count that mahindra scored over all the others speakers I have heard in my life. His speech was rich in content his delivery was perfect. Little Ali wins the Race

After that the trip had its usual share of fun. We went to quite many locations. We even had a paddle boat race which i lost to tiny tots Little Ali and Lanky Aman :( I would love to believe that the boat that we had was defective but whatever the matter of the fact is that we lost :-( Then it was back to bangalore and before i left i bought a bottle of coke each for my cousins and you should have had a look at my Aunt's expressions. She was as if how dare you give my kids that bottle of pesticides :-) In fact its pretty hilarious the way my family has reacted to my joining coke. Actually the first reaction was from my father who seemed utterly confused by my decision to sell coloured water. My cousin's first reaction was: Oh now you gonna sell pesticides :-)) Then the way back to bangalore was painful to say the least. I was sitting right in the front and to add to my woes the guys were playing an extremely painful B grade malayam movie. And the movie was running at full blast...
